Cookie Policy

1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how the Apprenaline website (operated by Apprenaline Ltd, 85 Great Portland Street, First Floor, London, England, W1W 7LT; company no. 15220303) uses cookies and similar technologies. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
2. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which let a website remember information in your browser. We group these as "cookies and similar technologies" below.
3. What we use — and what we don't
We do not use any advertising, marketing, profiling, or social-media tracking cookies. We do not track you across other websites, and we do not sell or share your data for advertising. We do not set our own tracking cookies.
What we do use is limited to what's needed to run the site and let you complete a booking:
| Name / mechanism | Type | Purpose | Stored where / how long |
|---|---|---|---|
apprenaline:booking:<activity> | Strictly necessary — session storage (not a cookie) | Temporarily saves your booking-form entries (date, party size, name, email, phone) so that if you leave the payment page and come back, your details aren't lost | In your browser only. Never sent to our servers. Cleared when your booking completes or you close the tab |
| Stripe (payment) | Strictly necessary, set by Stripe on its checkout pages | Process your payment securely and prevent fraud | Governed by Stripe's own cookie/privacy notices |
We use Stripe to take payment. Any cookies Stripe sets are strictly necessary for processing your payment and preventing fraud, and are governed by Stripe's own cookie and privacy notices on Stripe's pages.
4. Analytics (cookieless)
We use a privacy-friendly product-analytics tool (PostHog, hosted in the EU) to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used and how our booking process performs. It is configured to be cookieless: it stores no cookie and no other data on your device, it does not build a personal profile of you, and it does not track you across other websites. Data is processed in the European Union. This processing is also described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Do we need your consent?
The strictly-necessary cookies and the same-origin session-storage draft described above do not require prior consent, because they are essential to provide the service you ask for and are not used for tracking or advertising. Our analytics is cookieless and stores nothing on your device, so it does not require a consent banner either. For these reasons the site does not currently show a cookie-consent banner.
If we ever introduce a non-essential cookie or a tracking technology that stores or reads data on your device, we will add a consent banner and update this policy first.
6. Managing cookies and local storage
You can control or delete cookies and clear local/session storage through your browser settings (usually under "Privacy" or "Site data"). Clearing your booking draft will simply mean the form no longer pre-fills if you return to it. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may stop parts of the site or checkout from working.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time and will change the "Last updated" date above. If we ever introduce tracking technologies, we will update this policy and seek consent where required.
