The routes
Left side of the gorge:
- Szabó József emlékút — grade C. Rhyolite tuff, the old millstone-cutting ledges, and a closing bridge with the lake and the quarry floor below.
- Geósok útja — grade E, 25 m. A short expert test that joins the Szabó József route.
- Amfiteátrum — grade D. A variant of the Szabó József line.
Right side of the gorge:
- Édes vízi élet — grade D.
- Ördögkatlan — grade E. Vertical, then a traverse that asks for careful footwork.
- BontoSzaurusz — grade C. A practice route with steps for learning clipping and the basics.
Arrival

Good to know
This is the country's easternmost via ferrata site and a nature reserve — check vasaltutak.hu for closures.
This route is free and unsupervised. Apprenaline does not operate it, does not check it and cannot guarantee its condition. Via ferrata carries a real risk of serious injury or death: you need a UIAA-certified via ferrata set, a harness, a helmet and the experience to use them, and you should check the route builders' site for closures (routes in protected areas close for nesting seasons) and the weather before you go — wet rock and storms end a day out here. Guided, gear and photo options on this page are provided by independent operators under the normal booking terms and waiver.
