Approach

Down the stairs from the car park, then left along the asphalt road; the start is marked on the wall.

The route

A memorial route to Tolnay Kata, who died in the Himalaya in 2009, and the most demanding of the three main Kő-hegy lines. It is steep from the first metre with the crux low down, which is why the builders give one plain rule: if the opening moves feel hard, retreat while retreating is easy.

Exit

Tops out on the plateau; walk back along the top to the car park.

Good to know

Not a first via ferrata, and not a wet-weather one. Gloves.
