Arrival
Take the train: the Győr–Veszprém line stops at Vinye, a few minutes from the start, which makes this one of the few car-free via ferrata days in the country. There is parking at the trailhead too.

About ten minutes along the valley path.
The route
A memorial route to the mountaineer Bucsek Henrik along a natural rock rib set across the streambed — the longest secured route in Hungary. Well-stepped throughout, with trains rumbling through the tunnel below you, and a finale up a steep wall with a clean vertical drop underneath.
Exit
Fifteen minutes back down to the valley.
Good to know
Check the date: the route is closed from 15 February to 15 July for nesting birds, and the builders may close it for other conservation reasons — look at vasaltutak.hu before you travel.
